The Zimbra Migration Wizard for Lotus Domino is used to migrate Domino server email accounts to the Zimbra server and to import the email, calendars and address book information for selected Domino users. The import process replicates the user's Lotus Domino folder hierarchy, importing email messages, calendar, and contacts on the Domino server. Keywords are converted to tags in ZCS.
Lotus Notes 6.0 or later must be installed on the Microsoft Windows computer you use to run the migration.
The system PATH variable should contain a path to the directory that includes the nnotes.dll
The Icppn30.dll provided with the migrator should be in the current working directory or in the System32 directory.
You must supply the ID file that has full administrative privileges on mailboxes to be migrated.
Read the Migration Wizard Guide for Domino for more information. You can find this on the administration console Help Desk page.
The Migration Wizard asks questions in a series of dialog boxes about how to set up the new accounts. Before you start, you should:
Determine which domain users' accounts should migrate to. You can import to one domain at a time.
Decide whether to migrate individual accounts or large groups of accounts at one time.
Change the mail relay information to point to the Zimbra server instead of the Domino server. This will prevent any lost mail while the files are being imported.
The local part of the user's SMTP address in Lotus Domino becomes the first portion of the email address on the Zimbra server.
You can specify if email in the Junk folder or Trash folder are imported, set a latest receive date for old email to be imported, and select that the new email address replace the old email address in all meetings organized by the user.
By default, messages larger than 10 MB will not be imported. The message size includes the message and attachments. If the message is larger than 10 MB, a warning is logged to Migration Wizard log file, which can be reviewed from the Import Complete dialog when the migration is complete.
